My Sweet Kennedy

What a fun and crazy night! Since Travis is in Phoenix for work, Richie was working late and Ryan was at a golf tournament, Laura and Beck came over with their kids tonight to work on our unfinished sewing projects. So it made for a perfect night to get together.

It of course took us moms forever to start! Kennedy came home from her 101 Dalmatian play practice and was so excited to have a girls sewing night and be able to finish up a "secret" project she had started the other day. She got out her sewing kit (which she got last Christmas) and started working both secretly and vigilantly. After 3 1/2 hours of cutting, stuffing and sewing (by hand) Kennedy finished her creation. She is such a creative girl! She made me a hand sewn, stuffed dog (including every last detail-tail, ears and all) and a special carrying case/bed for the dog. It is so cute-I don't know where she come up with all of her ideas. She is such a thoughtful and caring girl. I love Kennedy so much and am so grateful to be her mom :)

Beck, Laura and I spent most of the night watching the kids and acting as a referee. Laura did, with Becky's help, finish a blanket for her baby. But, regardless of how much or little we accomplished, it's nice to get together! Now we just need to plan a "catch-up on your crafts project night" when our husbands are home to watch the kids. That way we can have a chance to get things finished. Hopefully next time we won't loose Laura's keys and spend over an hour looking for them only to discover her spare-set in her diaper bag! Somewhere in my house is a set of Laura's missing keys! ;)

This picture describes our kids perfectly! Kennedy is the nurturer, Sydney is the tease, and Brayden is just enjoying the ride!

The Morris' FINALLY have a blog!!!

Okay..... so my family and friends will DIE once they realize we have set-up a blog. Don't worry Beck, there is no way I will be as diligent at updating mine as you are at yours! :) I am now no longer lost in the 20th Century!
We had a great combined lesson at church on Sunday about Family History. They talked about blogging being used for journaling and can also act like your family history. I'd heard it all before but hearing it from ladies in their 50's and 60's made me feel way behind the times!! As I think about it I can't believe all of the memories I haven't documented and how fast my kids are growing up! Kennedy turned 8 in February and was Baptised!!! Sydney is 4 and Brayden just turned 1!!!!!

Wish us luck because ready or not...here we go!!!!
